Hallowe’en Brunch, 2012: Helloween, Keeper of the Seven Keys, Pt. I

One, great cover. Great NWOBHM (by way of Germany) in 1987.

I bought this cassette (it was white– those were kinda rare, newbie) in Phoenix, Arizona, shortly after it came out.

My favorite Helloween tune of all time is “I Want Out” (from their next record, Kot7K, Pt. II), but otherwise, every Helloween song I love is on this one.

There are songs here designed as filler, that are still awesome songs: “Initiation,” “A Little Time,” “Follow the Sign,” and so on.

The eternal tunes here are “I’m Alive,” “Twilight of the Gods,” “A Tale That Wasn’t Right,” “Future World,” and the 13-minute, Queensrÿche-ish epic, “Halloween.”

Listen, on this All Hallow’s Eve, and decide for yourself.
